Shari Polur, Polur Elder Law, is passionate about helping her clients tailor a unique plan that encompasses their community, social, and familial considerations, as well as medical and financial concerns. Shari has developed a specialty pursuing those who financially exploit vulnerable adults. With NAELA’s help, Shari helped change the law in Kentucky to enable a client under guardianship to seek a divorce from their abusive and exploitative spouse. Shari has served as Chair for the University of Kentucky’s Annual Elder Law Conference, helped form and remains active in the Kentucky Bar Association’s Elder Law Section, is an active long-time NAELA member, Director on the Jewish Community of Louisville Board, presents to companies, community, and national groups, and has been appointed to serve by three governors, on statewide Boards or Commissions that support persons with disabilities. Shari received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and JD from Boston University.
