Call for Board Nominations: As a Member of the NAELA Board of Directors, You Can Make a DifferenceOn behalf of the NAELA Nominating Committee, I invite you to consider serving on the Academy’s Board of Directors, or consider nominating a colleague. Nominations must be received no later than October 9, 2020.
President's Message: NAELA Leading the WayLast year, as the issue of NAELA News highlighting my presidency came out, a colleague sent me a message saying how great it was to see women in leadership positions serving as role models for younger attorneys.
Basics Of Video ConferencingMeeting with clients is more challenging now. You can set yourself up to provide remote client meetings, keeping your clients from having to leave their home to meet with you. Many businesses, including NAELA, use Zoom for remote meetings. If your clients are technically savvy, you can share your screen as well has have your laptop camera include you in the screen share. If your client isn't up for that, this also provides you with a way to have a conference call with multiple users in multiple locations, which would be useful to loop in other employees and your client's loved ones.
Basics Of Remote Phone ManagementManaging office work is challenging now and one issue is how to set your office phones up while working remotely. How do you keep yourself connected to your clients without having to give out your cell or home phone number. This was offered as a live call to discuss ideas and options.
