About the Practice
Shirley B. Whitenack focuses her practice on elder law, special needs planning and advocacy, probate, estate and trust litigation and estate planning and administration. Ms. Whitenack is nationally recognized in her areas of concentration. She is a past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), is a NAELA Fellow and a member of NAELA's Council of Advanced Practitioners. The recipient of numerous awards, she is quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Market Watch, AARP Bulletin, Money Magazine and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine. In 2011, she was recognized by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of NJ in a Joint Resolution for service to those with special needs. In 2019, she received the New Jersey State Bar Foundation's Medal of Honor. She serves as a mediator in probate and guardianship matters.

Ms. Whitenack is a partner at Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP with offices in Florham Park and Paramus, New Jersey. Ms. Whitenack devotes a substantial portion of her practice to trust and estate litigation and elder and special needs law. Ms. Whitenack is a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), is a past President and is a member of NAELA’s Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP).
