Special Needs Planning: Updates & Practice TipsThis session will cover practice and tax planning tips for drafting first and third-party SNTs; utilizing ABLE accounts, and pending changes in the law.
President’s Message New Year and New BeginningsA new Executive Director, a live Annual Conference, and a new strategic plan is a lot for an organization to tackle in one year, and I think that this fresh start and new look is exactly what NAELA needs to continue to be the extraordinary organization it is.
President's Message Pandemic or Not: NAELA Presses ForwardI can’t believe it’s not over yet.
Tax Section: Back to Gift Tax BasicsWith looming changes to estate and gift tax, it's time for elder and special needs law attorneys to brush up on a few tax basics.
President's Message: Ready or Not --Change is ComingI don’t know about you, but it seems as if life is returning to normal. However, “normal” looks different now than what it looked like before the pandemic. I can’t quite pinpoint exactly what it is; perhaps a newfound appreciation for the ability to work from home or more virtual client meetings. Regardless, change has come to the workplace, to home, and to NAELA.
