State Advocates Gather Resources for Fraud Prevention and Protection from the FTC, AARP, and CFPB
On Monday, October 2nd, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) State Advocacy Committee convened a panel of experts in resources for fraud prevention and protection for aging Americans. Kate Kramer is a Policy Analyst with the Office for Older Americans at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Kathy Stokes is a nationally recognized leader in the consumer fraud arena and Director of Fraud Prevention Programs with AARP. Bridget Small is a consumer education specialist for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and a lawyer with elder law training. The speakers gave a robust presentation about their respective organization's consumer and advocate tools, then answered NAELA member questions.
