On Monday, October 2nd, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) State Advocacy Committee convened a panel of experts in resources for fraud prevention and protection for aging Americans. Kate Kramer is a Policy Analyst with the Office for Older Americans at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Kathy Stokes is a nationally recognized leader in the consumer fraud arena and Director of Fraud Prevention Programs with AARP. Bridget Small is a consumer education specialist for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and a lawyer with elder law training. The speakers gave a robust presentation about their respective organization's consumer and advocate tools, then answered NAELA member questions.
